It seems Disney can’t get enough of a break from entitled TikTokers. From climbing onto parade floats to sharing dangerous TikTok trends (followed by non-apologies) or simply being completely disruptive while on Disney rides. It’s wonderful to be able to document and share the Disney experience on TikTok, yes, but to do so at a cost to fellow Park Guests and even one’s own safety is not only incredibly risky but also endangers Cast Members and Disney. And in that vein, one Disneyland TikTok trend regarding seatbelts has gotten so bad that even Disney has taken notice.
In news that has now made national coverage, Disneyland has put up an official warning telling Guests that they must have their seatbelts on while riding Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! In this fan-favorite ride, Guests can “Join Rocket on a thrilling mission to rescue the Guardians of the Galaxy from the Collector’s fortress.” The situation has escalated enough that fellow Disney influencers are speaking out against this as well:

Per Disneyland officials and the warning, Guests who refuse to follow the necessary protocol to keep themselves and fellow Guests safe will be asked to leave the Disney Park. As a reminder, seatbelts on these rides are meant to be securely fastened and worn tight against the waist, and no Disneyland TikTok trend is cause enough to put yourself at risk.
This also isn’t the first time Guests have forgone seatbelts while at the Disney Parks. Last year we reported on a Guest who chose to not wear his seatbelt on the Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World Resort (what Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission BREAKOUT! was prior to its retheme) and ended up injuring himself.
