The Walt Disney World Resort announced an entire-day Theme Park closure for some of its Parks on January 8 of the new year.
The Disney Resort is home to four incredible Theme Parks—Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom—as well as two water Parks—Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Blizzard Beach—that Guests love to frequent and take in.

Of each Disney World Park, one has seen a lot of closures recently, especially during the freezing temperatures that swept Florida last week. Disney’s Blizzard Beach, a 66-acre themed water recreation attraction — inspired by the mythology of a snow ski resort that didn’t exactly find a suitable climate in Florida.

Disney World has just announced the closure of Blizzard Beach for the entire day on Sunday, January 8. The water Park is open on Saturday, January 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Monday, January 9, the Park is available again to Guests from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

While it is unclear what led to Disney World’s closure of Blizzard Beach on January 8, it’s good to know that the closure is only for one day–and not indefinitely, as has been the case in the past with Disney’s first water Park, River Country.
