Christmas at Walt Disney World isn't known for being cheap.
Between hotel accommodations, theme park tickets, meals, Lightning Lane purchases, and everything else that comes with a Disney vacation, the final price can climb quickly.
This year, however, Disney has an offer that could make the hotel portion of a holiday trip noticeably less expensive.
Select Disney World Resort hotel rooms are currently discounted by as much as 20%, and the eligible dates stretch all the way through Christmas Eve.
For guests who haven't booked yet—or those who already have reservations—it's worth checking before the limited discounted rooms are gone.
Disney's Christmas Discount Includes Deluxe Resorts
Disney's current hotel promotion covers most Sunday through Thursday nights from October 4 through November 19, followed by most nights from November 22 through December 24.
Unlike the earlier portion of the promotion, that second window includes most weekends.
The amount guests can save varies.
Select rooms at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, Disney's All-Star Music Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, and Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort receive a 10% discount.
Other participating accommodations receive 15% discounts, including Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, and Disney's Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter.
But guests willing to spend more on their hotel could also see considerably larger dollar savings.
A Christmas Stay Could Save Nearly $500
Several Deluxe Resorts fall into the 20% category.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Beach Club Resort, and Disney's Yacht Club Resort are among the participating properties.
One example shows just how valuable that percentage can become.
A stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort from December 23 through December 25 produced savings of about $235 per night.
Over two nights, that's approximately $470.
Of course, guests shouldn't expect that exact amount for every reservation. Disney hotel rates change based on dates, resort, room type, and other factors.
Still, saving hundreds on a Christmas vacation isn't something to overlook.

The biggest thing to remember is that these discounts apply to select rooms and availability is limited.
Just because your vacation dates fall within the promotional period doesn't guarantee you'll find the resort or room category you want at a discounted rate.
That's especially important as the holidays get closer.
Guests who already have reservations should also consider checking current rates rather than assuming their existing booking is the best option available.
Christmas Eve may still be more than three months away, but Disney World's holiday season is rapidly approaching.
