New VIP-Style Benefit Arrives for Disney World’s Deluxe Hotel Guests

Walt Disney World Resort is no stranger to making bold changes to its guest offerings, and over the past few years, those changes have sparked plenty of reactions. One of the most significant shifts came in 2022 when Disney decided to discontinue the widely beloved Magical Express, a complimentary transportation service that took guests from Orlando International Airport directly to their Disney hotels.

This decision, which many fans were disappointed by, left visitors looking for new ways to navigate the 18-mile trek from the airport to their resort.

But now, Disney is introducing a fresh alternative for those staying at some of its most luxurious hotels.

Starting on August 11, 2025, Disney World Deluxe Hotel guests will have access to a new transportation perk: the Minnie Van service. While this perk might sound like a return to convenience, it’s not without its share of surprises, particularly when it comes to cost.

Disney’s Minnie Van Service: A Touch of Magic for Deluxe Hotel Guests

The Minnie Van service, a beloved offering for park transportation, will soon be available for guests staying at a select list of Deluxe Disney World Resort hotels. Known for its distinctive Minnie Mouse-inspired design, these vans provide a fun, comfortable, and private mode of transport, especially for guests who are looking for a little extra luxury during their Disney vacation.

The exclusive Minnie Van perk will be available at the following Deluxe Disney World Resort hotels:

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • Disney’s Beach Club Resort
  • Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

These guests will be able to reserve their Minnie Van trip up to 60 days in advance, using Disney Signature Services at (407)-939-7777. While this may seem like a magical addition, there’s a significant trade-off to consider.

The Price of Convenience: Is It Worth It?

The Minnie Van service promises an elevated travel experience, but it comes at a steep cost. Each one-way trip between a Deluxe Resort hotel and Orlando International Airport will set guests back $199. And that doesn’t even include the tip for the driver, so you can expect to pay even more if you plan to use the service.

For comparison, options like Uber and Lyft typically cost $35-$50 per trip, while Mears Connect charges $16 for adults and $13 for children for airport transfers. While Minnie Van offers a more private and comfortable ride, the cost disparity is undeniable. Guests looking to save money may want to consider other transportation options, especially if traveling with a group.

The Minnie Van service can accommodate up to six passengers, with wheelchair-accessible vehicles available for larger groups of up to seven guests. This makes it an ideal option for families or small groups who want a more direct and convenient ride. However, the steep price tag might deter many visitors, especially if they’re traveling solo or with a smaller party.

Will the Minnie Van Be a Hit Among Deluxe Hotel Guests?

The return of an exclusive Disney transportation option is sure to excite some guests, but others may find the price difficult to justify. With a starting rate of $199 each way, the Minnie Van service is positioned as a luxury offering, designed to appeal to those willing to pay for convenience and comfort.

Whether or not it will become a popular choice among guests remains to be seen, as the price may limit its appeal to only those who prioritize an upscale experience over affordability.

Aside from airport transfers, Minnie Vans will also continue to offer transportation within the Walt Disney World Resort. Guests can book a Minnie Van to travel between various Disney hotels, including the Swan and Dolphin, Shades of Green, Four Seasons Resort Orlando, and the Swan Reserve. Prices for these in-resort rides will vary based on distance, giving guests a little more flexibility in their travel plans.

As with any premium service, the value of the Minnie Van transportation option will ultimately depend on your preferences and priorities. For those willing to pay for a little extra luxury and a hassle-free airport experience, the Minnie Van might be just the perk they’ve been waiting for. However, with its steep price tag, it’s likely to remain a choice for a select group of guests who are looking to make their Disney trip feel even more magical.

What do you think about the new Minnie Van service for Disney World Deluxe Hotel guests? Do you see it as an exciting addition to your Disney experience, or will the cost keep you from booking it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

  1. they just keep TAKING TAKING TAKING Magical express tables in wonderland, magical hours every night with special wrist bands for people staying on property. Now all you do is pay, pay, pay. After hours ‘special’ events with extra $$$ in addition to paying the entrance fee. Then they are allowed to enter 5:00pm. But, people without ‘special’ event tickets have to leave before the event time begins. Paying for fast pass now, which used to be for free!! Hitting up ppl with disability to pay the price for others who took advantage of this beautiful opportunity for those in need. Then Disney wonders why everyone is getting disgusted with this nonsense. If they only gave something back that they took away, it would show they are trying to rectify their ways. $199 for a minnie-van to the resort hotels from the airport is a total rippoff. I know they still offer the ‘bus’ to resorts but If you have another 1 hour to kill to get there that option is for you. After flying on a plane I want to get to my resort ASAP. Disney wake up!!!
