Viral Video Claims Disney World is Going to Start Drug Testing Guests

In a video that has garnered over 34K views on Instagram and has gotten many guests in a panic, a video, and complementary article claimed that Disney World was going to begin drug testing guests of the Central Florida Disney Resort.

In addition, the video also added that because of these, many people were beginning to get banned from the Disney Park.

The article also added that anyone over the age of 9 years old will be subject to a rapid drug test. It also shared, “Disney will not confirm what drugs are being tested for. This is to avoid people attempting to find a loophole by using different drugs not tested for. ”

The video also added that if a guest fails their drug test more than three times they might be subjected to a lifetime ban.

Are the Video and Article True?

Short answer: Nope!

So let’s get into it. Right off the bat, the article is from a satire news site, Mouse Trap News. The website openly shares that they “write fake stories about Disney Parks stuff. From Disney Park announcements to Disney Hotel and resort news to made-up Disney partnerships, you can be assured that anything you read here is not true, real, or accurate, but it is fun.

It’s also worth noting that while some employers do subject their employees to drug tests, it’s unheard of to do that for guests of any entertainment establishment, and The Walt Disney Company is far too good at its job to upset guests with this kind of a move.

This said, fans can rest assured that if Disney changes their mind or gets inspired by this viral video, and officially implements a drug test, we at Disney Fanatic will be the first to bring the news to you!

Of course, there are ways guests can get banned from Disney World that don’t involve identified drug use through a rapid drug test. Bad behavior—including but not limited to altercations and arguments with cast members, and disrupting standard Disney Park operations—is one easy way.

Of course, if you do end up getting banned, here’s our definitive guide to getting unbanned from Disney World!
