Disney fans recently spotted what appears to be an effort to restore the attraction's lightning effect during the opening environmental scenes.
The discovery came after theme park fan RockNstardust shared a video on X, writing:
“Living with the Land is attempting to get this lightning effect restored. Looks a little off but happy to see it working!”
The brief clip shows flashes of lightning during the storm sequence, something many longtime riders haven't consistently seen in years.
While the effect doesn't appear fully synchronized yet, its return has already sparked excitement among Disney fans who remember the attraction before several effects gradually disappeared.
Classic EPCOT Still Lives Here
Living with the Land has always been different from most Disney attractions.
Rather than telling a traditional story, it combines entertainment with real-world science. Guests begin by traveling through recreated natural environments before entering Disney's working greenhouses, where fruits, vegetables, herbs, and fish are raised using innovative farming methods.
