Are Europeans the Worst Behaved Disney World Guests?

Is there a trend among misbehaving guests at Walt Disney World Resort? Disney Parks fans on social media recently debated the behavior of one particular group of visitors, sparking heated discussions about etiquette in the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Millions of guests flock to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios every year. While most visitors aim to create magical memories, some disrupt the experience for others. From climbing out of ride vehicles to jumping into restricted waterways, certain behaviors have made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

However, not all disruptive acts are so dramatic. Many Disney Parks fans argue that subtler behaviors—like cutting in line or pushing through crowded walkways—can be just as frustrating. Recently, social media users pinpointed European tourists as frequent offenders of such infractions.

The conversation began when TikToker @leyla.wash posted a video captioned:

“why have we not talked about European families going to theme parks in America, and how their children are always running around, yelling, pushing, and being rude to everyone they encounter with the parents doing nothing to stop them.”

The post quickly gained traction, drawing thousands of comments from Disney Parks fans.

One commenter, @nic_nevin, recounted a troubling encounter: “A French fam cut us in line, talked about is in French (I know French) & then the mom told her kids to PET my daughters AFRO like its a petting zoo & got mad when i yelled at them not to touch her!”

Others recalled similarly uncomfortable moments, including @ghostbunyy3, who shared: “We had this European family (can’t pinpoint the country) whose son was poking, pushing us, and touching our behinds and when we said something the entitled parents yelled at us.”

Even Disney Cast Members joined the conversation, providing input from behind the scenes. @emmydsversion commented: “As an attractions [cast member] at wdw…in EPCOT…thank you.”

“As a cm thank you, I thought I was going crazy but I’m glad other people notice,” said @kenzpop.

Another commenter, @wendyy7070, shared their experience visiting Walt Disney World Resort without international guests: “We went to Disney when it reopened after Covid but still had a travel ban internationally. It was so nice and peaceful.”

Interestingly, some Europeans participating in the discussion agreed with the criticisms, offering their own cultural insights.

“Germans are so entitled + complain about everything + look down on everyone,” commented @thatbohomom. “I’m German living in the US and every time I see German tourist I run.”
