Disney World Park Closes Due to Extreme Weather

Fan-favorite Walt Disney World Resort water park Blizzard Beach will be closing temporarily for the safety of guests due to extreme winter weather conditions.

The Walt Disney World Resort is one of the best places in the world to enjoy a Disney vacation. From incredible rides and attractions like Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom and lands like Pandora in Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, it’s obvious why this is the case.

At present, the theme park is expected to reopen to guests on January 22. However, this is subject to change based on how long the cold front makes its presence felt in Central Florida.

For guests who are hoping to get the chance to have a water park experience at Disney before the 22nd, that is unfortunately not possible since Disney’s other water park, Typhoon Lagoon, is currently closed for refurbishment and is set to reopen this spring.
