But for those who love visiting Walt Disney World Resort specifically, your trip could become drastically cheaper.
The New Walt Disney World Ticket
Walt Disney World Resort has just introduced new tickets for Florida residents. Called a Florida Resident Disney Thrill Ticket, the unique theme park ticket allows residents to purchase a 2-Day Disney ticket for $199 ($99/day) or a 3-Day Disney ticket for $219 ($73/day).
Last year, Walt Disney World Resort offered similar deals, such as a four-day, four-park ticket at $396 and a four-day Florida resident Disney World weekday magic ticket at $235.
The new Disney World tickets go on sale on January 11 and can only be used between January 11 and March 15. The Walt Disney World Resort website lists that these tickets require a park reservation and do not include water park admission, the park hopper option, or Disney Genie+ (although you can add those features if you wish).

Florida Resident Discounts
These offerings are likely part of an effort by The Walt Disney Company to drive local traffic up in Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. Although 2023 ended with massive crowds at Walt Disney World Resort, the overall attendance at the theme park destination seems to have taken a dip.
But unlike previous special Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets for Florida residents; these can be used any day during that period, including weekends. However, these theme park tickets do require proof of Florida residency at the Disney Park entrance.
For those who are Florida residents, Walt Disney World Resort does offer many other discounts for living in the state. These include discounts on an Annual Pass as well as discounts on hotel reservations.
