The Disneyland Resort will once again follow the Walt Disney World Resort in revitalizing a sense of normalcy to its Guest experience.
On February 23, Disneyland will finally resume tram service between the entrance to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park and the parking garage.
The Happiest Place on Earth shared the news on social media on February 10, with a video of an empty tram train resuming its normal route.

The Walt Disney World Resort brought back its own tram at the Transportation and Ticket Center for Guests visiting Magic Kingdom Park in December of 2022. They have yet to return to the other three Parks, but Disney World’s website insists, “they’ll return to other Walt Disney World theme parks throughout 2022.”

Since first reopening after the worldwide Disney Parks shutdown, Walt Disney World has taken the lead in almost every step of the return to normal. Just to name a few, Disney World was first to open at all, first to drop mask mandates in outdoor areas, and it was first to bring back monorail transportation.
Now, Disney World is much more spread out than its California counterpart. Its parking lots are almost the size of Theme Parks themselves, and Guests have been constantly asking when the trams will return to assist them in the long walk from the car door to the Park gate. It is interesting to see the much more compact Disneyland Resort revive this service before the blacktop behemoths like EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

At this time, there is no further word on why The Disneyland Resort decided to bring back the parking tram or how it will look to limit capacity. But we at Disney Fanatic will keep our ears to the ground to update our readers as more information comes to light.
As the Disneyland Tram returns, eyes no doubt will turn to The Walt Disney World Resort for the first sign of tram activity at EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park.
