A woman took to Reddit to share how the cast members at a Disney Park truly made her day and re-energized it after her “emotionally abusive” husband jeopardized it.

The Disney cast members are the heart and soul of the Disney experience. From making magical moments for guests from all over the world to keeping the parks running, these cast members are the reason that so many guests leave with a smile on their face everyday, whether they’re enjoying Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World, or meandering around Disney California Adventure Park at Disneyland.

Disney Guest Shares that Cast Members Save the Day

One Disneyland guest recently took to Reddit to share that the cast members over at Disneyland Resort made her day and even practically saved it from her “emotionally abusive” husband.

The OP explained, “Unfortunately I have had one to many visits to Disneyland with my husband that entail him berating me and being emotionally abusive. These trips were ruined and I’d try to hide my sadness. But there have been countless times that I’ve been randomly stopped by a cast member giving me a compliment when I’m feeling down.” 

The Disney guest even shared an example of when cast members made her laugh and helped her “zone out” of her depression. She wrote, “Mnce a CM stopped me and asked me that I must love Belle (because of my ears) and that I am a beautiful princess. They then acknowledged that my husband must be the Beast ?. “

True to their previous profession, one ex-Disney cast member even commented,

When I was a CM, I always looked for those who needed a brighter day, and did what I could to make magic happen.

As the son of someone who went through tons of quiet emotional abuse, I can say that my Mom is much happier now that she has put that “Beast” in the past.

I hope one day you will find the courage to be as strong as Belle, and continue to be the real Princess you long to be.
