While at Walt Disney World Resort we are preparing for the return of the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom Park along with the beloved nighttime spectacular, Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disneyland is throwing out dates and details for its nighttime spectaculars. Its Main Street Electrical Parade specifically is getting a MASSIVE facelift.

Roll through the excitement with us as Disney has announced the return of FOUR Disneyland experiences noting, “On April 22, 2022, the “Main Street Electrical Parade” and “Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular will return to Disneyland park, and “World of Color” will return to Disney California Adventure park. “Fantasmic!” is preparing for its return to Disneyland park on May 28, 2022.”

The experience we’re most impressed with thus far is the return of Disneyland Park’s “Main Street Electrical Parade”. In honor of its 50th anniversary, Disney is introducing new elements to the parade. When the parade returns on April 22, it will feature an “all-new, enchanted grand finale that celebrates the theme of togetherness.”

Disney has said the grand finale sequence is “Inspired by both the original design of classic “Main Street Electrical Parade” floats and Disney Legend Mary Blair’s iconic art style on “it’s a small world.”

During Main Street Electrical Parade’s finale, you can expect to see a dozen of favorite Disney and Pixar animation interpreted with thousands of sparkling lights and of course, the electro-synthe-magnetic musical sound to go right along with it. Much like the “it’s a small world” look, characters will look like animated dolls.

Disney Park Guests can expect to see different sets from films such as the brand new Encanto, along with favorites such as The Jungle Book, Raya and the Last Dragon, Aladdin, Coco, Mulan, Brave, The Princess and the Frog, and more.

Disney goes on to say, “From the Blue Fairy to a colorful, unique representation of Sleeping Beauty Castle, the grand finale of the “Main Street Electrical Parade” comprises seven segments stretching 118 feet in length, making it one of the longest and grandest units in the parade’s 50-year history.

As if Main Street Electrical Parade won’t be fantastic enough for Disney entertainment, we’re also thrilled with the return of “Disneyland Forever” which will be available for a limited time at Disneyland Park beginning April 22nd.

Take note, however, it will only run Fridays through Sundays, with “Mickey’s Mix Magic” presented Mondays through Thursdays until late spring. In the summer, “Disneyland Forever” fireworks will run nightly.
