It’s rare for Disney fans in America to have Disney Parks envy. What exactly is that? It’s when another Disney Park around the world gets a show or attraction we don’t have here in America. But recently, Disney Parks envy has gotten out of control as Disney has set out to expand its global parks with some incredible experiences. When Hong Kong Disneyland opened its new World of Frozen, Disney fans around the world were envious. And when pictures of Zootopia Land in Shanghai Disneyland dropped, the envy grew.

But short of hopping on a plane and heading to one of those international parks, American Disney fans will just have to look on in awe and hope that one day, those lands will come to Disneyland in California or Walt Disney World in Central Florida. But it appears that Disney fans may be about to get one of those international shows that we have been envious of for years.

Fans who have seen the nighttime drone show at Disneyland Paris are about to get some good news. Dronisos, the French company responsible for the show at Disneyland Paris Resort, has just opened a permanent office in Orlando. Dronisos will be putting on a holiday show on December 23 in downtown Orlando to show off their skills.

Dronisos CEO Laurent Perchais told Drone DJ:

Given Orlando’s status as the global hub of amusement parks, it was a natural choice for Dronisos’s US expansion.

Disneyland Paris began its drone shows in early 2022. The show combines music, drone technology, and fireworks for a fantastic guest experience. Forbes estimates that Disney spent $13 million to create its drone show on Disneyland Paris’ Avengers Campus earlier this year. The original show at Disneyland Paris was called “Disney D-Light” and was the opening for the “Disney Illumination” show. There were 150 drones that would form a 30 to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris.

With Dronisos opening its Orlando location, it’s only logical that it would continue its relationship with the Walt Disney Company. The new Orlando location will employ 15 people at the start, with plans to expand.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer told Drone DJ:

We are thrilled to welcome Dronisos to the City Beautiful. With our upcoming downtown holiday drone show back by popular demand, our partnership with Dronisos showcases the fusion of technology and art, adding a touch of magic to our vibrant city and further solidifying Orlando as the ‘MetaCenter’ and a global leader for innovation.

The only question is, which Disney World Park will get the new drone show? EPCOT just opened Luminous Symphony of Us, and Animal Kingdom is out because of the combination of drones and fireworks that would scare the animals. Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are possibilities at Walt Disney World Resort.

At least we know that something new could be coming soon to Disney World, and American Disney fans won’t have to be envious of Disneyland Paris’ nighttime show anymore.

We will continue to update this story at Disney Fanatic.
