The Theft: Three Pineapples Missing

“Only two of the five pineapples are still at the base of Rongo God of Agriculture outside Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland. The other three have been ripped off… They’re def not close to ripe and up close you can see the stem on this one was snapped off. The other two were clearly ripped off though.”

Guests were quick to notice the missing pineapples, which have been a distinctive part of the Tiki Room's landscape for years. Part of a larger display honoring Rongo, the pineapples contributed to the playful and whimsical atmosphere outside the attraction.

Guests React with Disappointment

The theft has sparked frustration among visitors, many of whom took to social media to voice their displeasure. The loss of these elements, no matter how small, has drawn attention to how even the tiniest details help bring Disneyland to life. The pineapples were not just decorative items; they were an important part of the immersive experience that guests cherish.

Though Disney has not yet commented on the specific incident, thefts of small park elements are not uncommon. This particular act highlights a larger concern: the treatment of Disneyland’s intricate and beloved attractions. The removal of these pieces, while seemingly minor, has created a ripple effect among fans who feel a strong connection to the magic the park creates.

What’s Next for the Statue and Pineapples?

For now, the Rongo God of Agriculture statue remains at the center of Disneyland's iconic Tiki Room area, but with three of the pineapples gone, fans are left wondering if they’ll ever return.

Guests are encouraged to be mindful and respectful of the park's unique details. Disney continues to create experiences that visitors can enjoy, and each piece, no matter how small, plays an important role. As the Enchanted Tiki Room remains a favorite spot for Disney lovers, the pineapples will surely be missed—but the hope is that this incident will serve as a reminder to respect Disneyland’s treasures.
