A “tranquil community” featuring “shimmering waterways” and “swaying palm trees.” A bevy of “sun-soaked pools” and a Disney Resort oozing “the romance of the Florida Keys.”
These are the sights and ‘delights’ that are meant to be awaiting any Guests of Disney’s Old Key West Resort — but if you’re headed to this Disney Resort for some rest and relaxation anytime soon, then you’re apparently going to be disappointed!
Instead of mentioning said tranquility or “shimmering waterways,” one Old Key West Resort Guest and TikTok user has pointed out the “Walt Disney World pool hunger games ” that take place in this Disney Resort — and they can be a shocking sight to see, especially if you came to Old Key West Resort (which is a Disney Vacation Club Resort) with peace and quiet in mind!
Disney Guest Jenny Rauch (@jenny.rauch) has revealed on TikTok that anarchy can be seen in action if you’re poolside at the Old Key West Resort. Apparently, Guests are fighting over beach chairs and lining up at the gates to wait for beach chairs — which can take almost two hours!
Rauch also pointed out that the Disney Resort Guests are making no attempts to hide their possessive attentions, with “grown adults running, throwing their towels on the chairs, as if it’s some special reservation for themselves.”
Rauch got a lot of laughs from her TikTok audience when she declared that “the white towels do nothing” and added the following: “If I see a white towel and I’m at a pool, and I want the chair, I will literally take your white towel and throw it on the ground, and I will lay my [bottom] in your chair.”
You can see Jenny Rauch’s harsh critique of the Disney Resort’s pool-loving Guests in the TikTok video shown below — but be warned, there is plenty of profanity involved!
@jenny.rauch The Walt Disney World pool hunger games 😂 #disneyworld #fyp #disney #disneyvacation
This kind of overcrowding and competitiveness certainly seems standard — unfortunately — for a spring break and Easter break week when many families have booked Disney vacations at the same time.
If you book your Disney theme park vacations and Disney Resort stays during popular vacation weeks like this one, then you might just pay the price like this family did during their Disney Park visits — and at the very least, you might have to witness some vicious poolside “Hunger Games” in the Disney Resorts when you’re not visiting a Disney Park!
