In the final hours of this famed Disney attraction’s run, one Guest took a dangerous turn.

With wait times stretching over 170 minutes, Disneyland has been swarmed with Guests determined to take one final plunge into the briar patch before Splash Mountain gets movin’ along for good.

Walt Disney World nailed up Splash Mountain on January 23, 2023, but Disneyland Guests have gotten more mileage out of Disney’s most controversial attraction. With Splash Mountain’s sprawling history rooted in the racially insensitive ​​The Song of the South, the Parks are replacing one of Disney’s longest-running rides with the more wholesome “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.”

Although there’s much to look forward to from the Mardi-Gras-inspired attraction headed to Critter Country with New Orleans-inspired cuisine and appearances by Mama Odie, Guests took Disneyland by storm to sing along with Brer Rabbit on the Splash Mountain attraction one last time. Long queues and bustling crowds at Disneyland have been making headlines for the banished attraction, but one Guest garnered attention when she found herself in a little bit of trouble.

A Splash Mountain First During a Final Ride

Yesterday, a TikTok video from one of Splash Mountain’s final rides went viral when one of its riders made an unprecedented move.

Fatima Yusuf Wright posted the video under her account @fatimamusic786, stating:

A young woman emerges from the Splash Mountain ride vehicle in the video while still moving. A shocked Wright calls out:

CAN YOU DO THAT? What are you doing?

The rider on the move responds to Wright, saying:

I can’t. I’m seriously having a panic attack.

While no one can knock the severity of the rider’s circumstances, hopping out of the moving Splash Mountain boat brought the permanently-closing ride to a halt while the Cast Members re-centered the log flume boat she was riding on.

Disney fans are no strangers to ailing attractions with frequent shut-downs like Big Thunder Mountain, but a halted ride during Splash Mountain’s final farewell threw the Disneyland Guests for a loop. Thankfully, no one was injured in the aborted Splash Mountain boat incident.

It’s safe to say Disneyland Guests were anticipating a hectic final day for Splash Mountain, but no one could have predicted the risky ride caught on TikTok by Wright.
