Big things are happening across the Disneyland Resort—and the excitement extends well beyond the park gates. Downtown Disney District, long a favorite gathering spot for dining, shopping, and entertainment, continues to transform with a sleek mid-century modern look and new culinary concepts designed to delight visitors in 2025 and beyond.
The west end’s transformation introduces several standout openings. Din Tai Fung has made its long-awaited debut, joined by Chef Carlos Gaytán’s Mexican-inspired trio—Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita. Also drawing attention is the Parkside Market food hall, featuring Seoul Sister, GG’s Chicken Shop, and the recently refreshed Parkside Market Coffee.
The café, previously known as Sip & Sonder, has been given a new name and visual update that seemingly better complements Parkside Market’s design. The signature menu remains intact, including guest favorites like the honey lavender latte, vanilla dirty chai latte, and cold brew, along with breakfast sandwiches available from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The spot continues to offer kombucha, slush drinks, and baked treats such as cinnamon rolls and cake pops—so regulars will still find plenty to love.
Inside the food hall, Parkside Market Coffee shares the lower floor with Seoul Sister and GG’s Chicken Shop. The upstairs bar, Vista, offers outdoor seating with a view of the lawn and stage, inviting guests to relax between bites and beverages. The design encourages exploration, with each space offering its own flavor and ambiance.
Before its rebrand, Sip & Sonder held a proud legacy as a Black, women-owned café founded by Amanda-Jane Thomas and Shanita Nicholas. While Disney has not released an official statement, the update seemingly reflects an ongoing effort to present Parkside Market as a unified destination, bringing multiple dining experiences together under a cohesive identity.
Elsewhere, construction continues across Downtown Disney’s western gateway. Following the closure of Tortilla Jo’s, new dining additions—Arthur & Sons Steak & Bourbon and Pearl’s Roadside BBQ—are on their way. Guests can also explore a refreshed lineup of shops, including Disney Wonderful World of Sweets, Avengers Reserve, and D-Lander Shop.
Whether visitors arrive for a cup of coffee, an evening meal, or a night of live entertainment, Downtown Disney District remains a must-visit hub of flavor and fun—steps away from Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
