The makeover was previously revealed in 2019 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The DuckTales World Showcase Adventure is expected to be based entirely on the Play Disney Parks mobile app. The location has previously been themed around Phineas and Ferb, as well as Kim Possible.
The Vice President of EPCOT, Kartika Rodriguez, confirmed the longtime rumor on the Disney Parks Blog, “It’s true that here at EPCOT, we believe teamwork and world exploration makes our world a better place—so I’m delighted to share that Disney’s DuckTales World Showcase Adventure is coming to EPCOT later this year. This experience will be the perfect way for the young and young-at-heart to play their way around World Showcase—because life is better when we explore the world around us together! I’m excited to share it with you soon.”
The showrunner of the new DuckTales, Matt Youngberg, also shared on Twitter, “The crew of Ducktales was heavily involved in this. I can’t wait to go see it in person! So much work on our side and on the amazing imagineers’ side to put it all together.”

Fans on Twitter are incredibly excited for the upcoming attraction. Multiple fans expressed they’d be planning a trip to Florida just to see the show. Some, though, questioned why this attraction was coming to life after the show concluded.
Twitter user @strangebohemia commented, “BEYOND excited for this! Just curious as to why they decided to do it now after the show concluded.”
What seems apparent is that there was a lot of effort went into making this attraction come to life, and fans are incredibly excited to finally see this come to fruition.
