Guests arriving at EPCOT for the opening day of the International Festival of the Holidays discovered that one of the park’s seasonal offerings had changed without warning.
Figment’s Holiday Look Unexpectedly Changed

Since 2020, EPCOT has honored its history by adding a small holiday overlay to the Journey Into Imagination with Figment attraction. Inside the ride, the Figment animatronics don a light blue ugly Christmas sweater featuring the classic Imagination Pavilion logo. The design quickly became a seasonal staple, returning every year and eventually inspiring adult-sized sweaters and other merchandise.

This year, even more Figment-themed holiday items arrived at EPCOT, including a plush version of the dragon sporting the familiar vintage-logo sweater. Guests on opening day reported that the plush was limited to two per person. From @MagicbandManiac on X (formerly known as Twitter):

However, many of those same guests noticed that the Figment meet-and-greet character was not wearing the same sweater. According to photos shared by @MagicbandManiac, the walkaround Figment appeared in a nearly identical holiday sweater, but without the retro EPCOT Imagination logo that has been part of the seasonal tradition since its debut.

The sweater features the same light blue cuffs, a white zipper, a dark blue base, and a Fair Isle pattern. The only missing detail is the vintage EPCOT logo. However, the custom tailoring even included wing slits, confirming the piece was made specifically for Figment.
Walt Disney World Resort has not issued any explanation for the unannounced change.
Festival of the Holidays Continues Across EPCOT

The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays runs from November 28 to December 30, bringing back the park’s full lineup of global holiday experiences. Guests can explore marketplace booths serving seasonal food and drinks, complete the Holiday Cookie Stroll, and meet Santa Claus at CommuniCore Hall or Santa Goofy at The Odyssey.
Holiday Storytellers are once again performing in multiple World Showcase pavilions, each sharing cultural traditions tied to their country. At the America Gardens Theatre, the Candlelight Processional remains one of the festival’s most popular experiences, featuring a rotating celebrity narrator, a choir of Disney cast members, and a full orchestra. Guests hoping for priority seating should line up early or book a Candlelight Processional dining package.
