Even with its grand debut just behind it, Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort isn’t slowing down. Since opening to the public on May 22, 2025, the new theme park has drawn crowds to its five expansive lands: Celestial Park, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon—Isle of Berk.
Now, all eyes are on what’s next.
Tucked between the park’s main entrance and the Isle of Berk, a brand-new restaurant is preparing to welcome guests in 2026. Featuring a bold teal-and-white design and outdoor seating, the structure is already complete. The signage posted on the doors offers a playful message: “Travelers—pardon our stardust as we ignite a galaxy of flavors and culinary delights. Coming 2026.” While Universal has not shared details about the menu, this quick-service location is poised to deliver a fresh experience for diners exploring Celestial Park.
This new venue will join a line-up of flavorful stops already delighting guests in Celestial Park, including The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant, Atlantic, Meteor Astropub, Comet Dogs, and Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets.
Universal isn’t just expanding its dining game—it’s laying the groundwork for the park’s next major evolution. “We’re already planning for the next thing at Epic,” shared Karen Irwin, President of Universal Orlando Resort, hinting that exciting additions are on the drawing board. With two major expansion pads already available, speculation has run wild. Many fans are hoping for a Zelda-themed land to join the roster.
In fact, hints sprinkled around SUPER NINTENDO WORLD have only added fuel to the conversation. Steve Tatham, the creative force behind Epic Universe, recently responded to this growing interest, urging fans to also enjoy the experiences already waiting for them in the land.
Beyond Orlando, Universal is also focusing on growth in other regions. The company has several projects in development, including Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas and the family-friendly Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas. Looking even further ahead, Universal has its sights set on the United Kingdom, where a brand-new park could open by 2031. Possible themes for that project include beloved franchises such as James Bond, The Lord of the Rings, and Paddington.
Whether it’s a new bite to eat or the distant promise of new lands, Epic Universe is just getting started. With each new reveal, Universal continues to expand the storytelling canvas of one of its most ambitious parks yet.
