Let’s A-Go!

The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been a huge success, both critically and commercially. It has grossed over $1.2 billion worldwide, making it the third highest-grossing animated film ever. The movie has been praised for its humor, faithfulness to the source material, and stunning animation. The film’s success can be attributed to several factors, including the Super Mario Bros. franchise’s popularity and the continued interest in video game movies.

While some have criticized the choice of casting Chris Pratt in the titular role, this hasn’t stopped the Illumination juggernaut from absolutely destroying the box office this year. However, the movie has now been embroiled in a scandalous incident during a theater screening.

Mario Movie Erotic Image

BBC News NI reports that an “indecent image” was briefly flashed to the audience during a Waterside Theatre and Arts Centre screening of The Super Mario Bros. Movie in Northern Ireland. The scandalous view on the screen is said to have been a photo of a partially undressed woman. The viewers mostly consisted of primary-school-age children, which is obviously a cause for concern.

The staff took to Facebook to say they are working with relevant authorities on the matter. The Police Service of Northern Ireland has been informed of the situation. Parents have also been alerted to the matter.

It is still unknown how the image managed to grace the screening, but the police are now looking into it. The theater has called the incident “unfortunate” and hopes to determine who is responsible. They are cooperating with the authorities and keeping the parents informed.

While this disturbing incident overshadowed the success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, this is obviously an isolated occurrence. As authorities and theater staff work together to determine how the image appeared during the screening, most parents can rest assured that they have nothing to fear when showing their children the film.
