A noticeable change is arriving for guests staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Starting July 13, Walt Disney World is opening a brand-new bus stop, giving visitors a different location to board buses as construction projects continue around the resort.

The new transportation hub has been under construction for several months and has looked ready for operation for quite some time. Disney has now confirmed that the updated loading area will officially begin serving guests, replacing the previous bus pickup location.
The bus stop is located between the Rarotonga building and the guest parking area, making it one of the most visible additions to the resort's ongoing infrastructure improvements.
Although new attractions often receive the most attention, projects like this can have just as much impact on a Disney vacation. Every day, thousands of guests depend on Disney's complimentary transportation system to travel between resorts, theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. Even small operational upgrades can improve efficiency during the busiest parts of the day.

The opening also arrives alongside changes to vehicle traffic near the Polynesian. Road construction in the surrounding area has resulted in new traffic patterns, meaning guests driving to or from the resort may notice different routes than before.
Disney has been working to refresh several areas of the Polynesian over the past few years. The resort has received updated guest rooms, expanded Disney Vacation Club accommodations, refreshed amenities, and continued exterior improvements. The new bus stop fits into that larger effort to modernize the guest experience while preserving the resort's signature South Pacific atmosphere.
Guests staying at the Polynesian still have access to several transportation options, including the Monorail, water taxis to Magic Kingdom, nearby access to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and Disney buses. The new loading area simply improves one of those transportation choices.

Visitors arriving after July 13 should keep an eye out for updated directional signs around the resort. Cast Members are expected to help guests locate the new bus stop during the transition, making the adjustment relatively easy even for returning visitors.
While this isn't the type of update that dramatically changes a Walt Disney World vacation, it's another example of Disney continuing to improve one of its flagship resorts. As work progresses around the entrance and transportation areas, guests can expect a more organized arrival and departure experience in the months ahead.
