Orlando, Florida, is the theme park capital of the world. And that makes sense, the area is home to Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando, LEGOLAND Florida, and more. However, Orlando is not the only place to go to enjoy multiple theme parks. Southern California is home to Disneyland Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood, SeaWorld San Diego, Six Flags Magic Mountain, LEGOLAND, and Knott’s Berry Farm.
While all the Southern California theme parks are not as close to each other as the ones in Orlando, Knott’s Berry Farm is only about a ten-minute drive from Disneyland. While Disneyland has always been the area’s dominant theme park, Knott’s Berry Farm is quickly catching up — especially with the older crowd. Knott’s Berry Farm is an excellent option for thrill-seekers who love to ride exciting roller coasters.

It’s Halloween time at both Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm, and both have special ticketed events. Over at Disneyland Resort — in Disney California Adventure — guests can meet rare villains, trick or treat, and watch the Frightfully Fun Parade at Oogie Boogie Bash.
Knott’s Berry Farm takes a decidedly darker turn. On select nights, Knott’s Berry Farm becomes Knott’s Scary Farm, a terrifying event that is celebrating its 50th Anniversary. During the night, horrifying creatures lurk around the park, scaring guests and enjoying their bloodcurdling screams.

There are also several nightly shows — one of which is now uniting social media users.
On September 25, a video of one of the shows at Knott’s Scary Farm was shared by a conservative group. The video featured adults dancing in a sexually suggestive manner. The group was appalled by the video and said that Knott’s is “after your kids.”
That did not sit well with X (formerly Twitter) users, who pointed out that Knott’s Scary Farm was targeted at adults.
Fake outrage.
Knotts SCARY Farm is a separate-ticketed event aimed at adults. Can kids go to the event? Yes, just like kids can go see an R rated movie in a theater with an adult.
Want wholesome family fun? Go to Knotts Berry farm during the day.

Experience the culmination of 50 years of terror in the fully transformed theme park, with uniquely haunted mazes and attractions, sinister shows, and more than 1,000 horrifying creatures lurking in the fog and hiding across every inch of the park.

Knott’s Scary Farm is not recommended for children under 13. All guests, regardless of age, need to have their own paid admission ticket.
Knott’s Berry Farm does everything it can to make it clear that the event is best suited for adults. So, social media users said that the ‘coming for your kids’ accusations were absolutely ridiculous.
I’m here to defend my boy Snoopy: Knott’s Scary Farm is a separately ticketed event that is recommended for guests 13+ and no one under 17 is allowed in without an adult chaperone. It’s all up to the discretion of the parents. Nobody’s being groomed. Get bent.

Others pointed out that, if guests wanted more family-friendly entertainment, Disneyland was just down the road.

Both Oogie Boogie Bash and Knott’s Scary Farm will run on select nights through October 31. Oogie Boogie Bash — which seems to be more popular every year — sold out in less than twelve hours. There are still tickets available for Knott’s Scary Farm.
Guests wishing to attend the terrifying event have three ticket options. They can purchase a General Admission Ticket, the Admission & Meal Bundle, or the Nightly All-Inclusive. The all-inclusive ticket includes admission, meals, front-of-the-line access, and free parking.
