Walt Disney World Resort is known as the Most Magical Place on Earth. It has 27,000 acres of beautiful hotels, incredible theme parks, amazing restaurants, and so much more. There is so much to do and everyone in your party is sure to find something that they absolutely love. Whether you love to shop, eat, ride fun attractions, enjoy water rides, or even play mini golf or go bowling, Walt Disney World is the place for you.
But now, it may also be the smelliest place on earth.
On Sunday, September 3, Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom found themselves unable to venture through most of Frontierland. The area was closed off with places like Frontier Trading Post, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café, and Country Bear Jamboree all inaccessible. As guests watched, a truck was brought in that looked like it was helping pump out a broken sewage line.
Somethings happening in Frontierland. Closed off to guests. ? #MagicKingdom #WaltDisneyWorld

Guest Eric Chu was not the only one who noticed the issue and took to social media to share what was happening.
X (formerly Twitter) user Nick (@3BridgesNick) also shared photos showing cast members guarding a vacuum system that was on a cart, waiting for maintenance crews to come and grab it.
Nick also tweeted from the other side of Frontierland — near where Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is being constructed — showing just how far the closure extends.
Frontierland is currently blocked off ???

Across the water, close to Tom Sawyer Island and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, X user, The Orlando Guy, got a better picture of the maintenance truck brought in to help with the situation.
Anyone know what happened? Frontierland is blocked off.

As of right now, the area remains closed, with no reopening timeframe being given. Guests can still experience Big Thunder Mountain and the Walt Disney World Railroad is still listed as open.
Frontierland is also next to Adventureland and Liberty Square, so guests can head to those areas and enjoy attractions like Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Jungle Cruise, the Haunted Mansion, and more. If grabbing a bite to eat is more what you’re feeling, then snag a DOLE Whip from Aloha Isle or enjoy a lobster roll from Columbia Harbour House!
