The body of a former General Hospital star was found in an open field behind a business in San Jacinto, California, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Robyn Bernard starred in 145 episodes of the ABC soap opera from 1984 to 1990. She played Terry Brock, the daughter of David Groh’s D.L. Brock, during her run on the daytime drama.

According to the Riverside County Cornoner’s Office, Robyn Bernard’s body was found in the field on March 12 at 4 in the morning by a passerby. The coroner’s office is still investigating the cause of death, but the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office said there was no evidence of foul play.
Actress Robyn Bernard was born in Gladewater, Texas, in 1959. She is the older sister of Wings actress Crystal Bernard.
Robyn Bernard made her big screen debut in Diva (1981) in a minor role. Before getting her big break on General Hospital, she also took minor television roles in Simon and Simon, Tour of Duty, The Facts of Life, and Whiz Kids.
After she left General Hospital in 1990, Bernard struggled to find work. Her last role was more than 20 years ago in Voices from the High School (2002).

The 64-year-old General Hospital star was identified using her fingerprints, and police are still uncertain as to why she was alone in an open field in San Jacinto and exactly how long she had been there. Her autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday; however, police cautioned that it could take weeks for the toxicology report to come back.
Bernard is not the first actor from the General Hospital family to die suddenly this year. GH spinoff, Port Charles, saw the death of cast member David Gail. He starred in 216 episodes of the ABC soap opera. Gail is probably best known for his eight-episode run on Beverly Hills, 90210, as Stuart Carson.

A few weeks after Gail’s death, his family revealed that he died from a heart attack related to his opioid dependency. After several painful surgeries, Gail became addicted to opioid painkillers. At the time of his death, he had amphetamines, cocaine, ethanol, and fentanyl in his system.
Actress Robyn Bernard is survived by her father, Jerry Wayne Bernard, and her two sisters, Crystal and Scarlett. Bernard had shied away from public life in the last few years after her home burnt down.
