Travel always comes with risks, as do most experiences or activities in life, but some trips are more hazardous than others — and being in the oftentimes-enormous crowds in Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, or the international Disney Parks can certainly come with its own hazards!

One of these hazards is, of course, illness — and some Disney Guests have recently noticed a very concerning trend after visiting one popular Walt Disney World Resort location.

After a Disney vacation, one dissatisfied Disney World Guest posted on Reddit to ask if any other Guests had experienced what he just had: extreme diarrhea. This Disney World Guest actually had a hunch that the diarrhea was due to his time at the popular Disney World water park called Blizzard Beach!

So random but has anyone else had diarrhoea from blizzard beach?

Several other Disney Guests answered the unhappy Blizzard Beach Guest’s question, saying that they, too, had experienced digestive issues like vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea after their Disney trips and visits to this water park.

However, because Disney keeps their water chlorinated and makes hygiene a high priority, it seems more likely that another common vacation culprit is behind this unpleasant phenomenon: Norovirus.

Many cruise guests (not just those from Disney Cruise Line cruises) will be familiar with Norovirus, because this highly-contagious virus has been known to become disastrous on crowded locations like cruise ships. Norovirus is not fended off by hand sanitizer, either; extensive soapy hand washing is necessary.

It’s a real shame when illnesses or medical emergencies interfere with Disney vacations, even though Disney Cast Members and Disney Resort staff are known for being particularly helpful in these kinds of situations (at least, most of the time).

Has a virus or illness like Norovirus, or even something as (hopefully) short-lived as nausea from a Disney roller coaster, ever interfered with your Walt Disney World Resort trip?
