The Walt Disney Company has faced plenty of ups and downs recently, with many Disney Guests being dissatisfied with their experiences in Disney Parks or Disney Resorts and even more Disney Guests causing said dissatisfaction by misbehaving (including abusing Cast Members, climbing Disney attractions, trespassing, and starting fistfights).
Now, Disney Guests further abroad than Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort have taken to Twitter to complain about a service that they have found to be lacking in Disneyland Paris Resort: PhotoPass.
“Seems there is no Photopass Day at Disneyland Paris this year,” the Twitter account @DLPReport Tweeted recently. “Between technical issues, no app integration, lack of roaming photographers and exorbitant pricing there’s not much to celebrate.”

“It’s insane how DLP is able to regress concerning technologies in the parks,” another Twitter user agreed, chiming in to express their own disappointment with the Disneyland Paris Resort photography service that provides Disney Park Guests with photo opportunities. “Going with Kodak instead of Fujifilm was a big big mistake.”
Another Disneyland Paris Guest confirmed that PhotoPass “definitely wasn’t worth it when I got Photopass for our visit in June”.

PhotoPass has been a Disney Park and Disney vacation staple for years now, since it gives Disney Guests the chance to have well-executed photographs taken of their entire family. Sometimes these photos involve character meet and greets, or a famous location like the Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom within Walt Disney World Resort.
On other occasions, PhotoPass offerings can involve photo opportunities with ‘invisible’ characters that are edited into the photograph later!
The Walt Disney Company has been getting complaints from many Disney Guests or Disney fans in the past several months, and many of them have involved Disney’s increase in pricing. The Walt Disney Company was (like many businesses) in a tight spot after the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic began, and raising the prices for services or products was one way to lessen the pandemic-related blows. However, in the long run, this has led to more and more dissatisfaction from Guests.
Do you use Disney’s PhotoPass service, or have you found it to be lacking like these Disneyland Paris Resort Guests have? Has the “exorbitant pricing” kept you from using the service?
