Old is new at Disney World. This week marks the triumphant return of the fan-favorite Magic Kingdom fireworks spectacular, Happily Ever After as we bid adieu to Disney’s Enchantment. At EPCOT, Harmonius and its infamous eyesore barges are hitting the road and back again is EPCOT Forever (ironic, no?).
Annual pass holders will now be able to have no reservations to enter parks after 2pm starting April…minus weekends, you still need reservations for Saturday and Sunday but weekdays you’re all good. Beloved and fancy restaurant Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is finally returning after being closed for years due to COVID. There is so much to be excited for!
Guests who love staying at Disney’s Coronado Springs resort today are super excited because precovid era menu items have returned to El Mercado. Direct from Disney the describe El Mercado (Coronado’s food court per pe) as “There’s something for everyone in this light and airy dining spot. Featuring Grab & Go fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as desserts and drinks.”
Guests are sharing their excitement all over social media at the return of rice bowls. A hearty meal option and a definite break of burgers, pizza, and chicken tenders that the market had during COVID times. You have the option of a fire-braised chicken, barbacoa, or plant-based chorizo as your proteins. All come with cilantro-lime rice, black Beans, and street corn sauce, garnished with lettuce, pico de Gallo, pickled red onion, shredded cheese, and cilantro. So basically those Chipotle burrito bowls the nation is obsessed with!
Perfect option for the resort! Coronado Springs as described by Disney as “Celebrate the unique blend of Spanish, Mexican and Southwest American cultures at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. This beautiful lakeside oasis offers classic influences, Disney touches and modern comforts to energize and inspire.”
With all the old becoming new, what are some of your Disney favorites you hope to see returning to Disney World?
