When going to Disney World there is a lot to pack! No matter if you are one of those people who eats all their meals at the parks or one who likes to do a bit of cooking, you are going to want to have some things in your hotel room. While you could stock up at your resort’s store, the prices are well…Disney prices. Many people like to go before their final resort destination to a grocery store to pick up some necessities or have a grocery delivery delivered right to their resort. Today, we’re going to discuss what you should get from the southern grocery store chain, the infamous and well-loved Publix.
1. Water Bottles
Gotta stay hydrated in The Most Magical Place on Earth! While you can get water for free in most quick-service locations in Disney World and throughout water fountains, there is really no option in your room, unless you’re a tap water fan.
Some people just don’t like the taste of Florida tap water so bottled water can be useful.
2. Cake Slices
Publix has a cult following when it comes to its cakes. People DEMAND them for not only their birthdays but also for their weddings.
You can get single slices or cake or whole sheet cakes. Get yourself a sweet treat for your room to celebrate just being at Disney!
3. Dried Fruit
We have seen out-of-state visitors go absolutely crazy over Nutty & Fruity’s selection of dried fruit at Publix.
Sure, they have raisins and cranberries, but what about dried watermelon or chili mango? A unique snack to much on poolside or to keep in your bags at the theme parks, this is a must-have for us.
4. Plastic Bags
You need those Ziploc baggies for EVERYTHING! From leftovers to organizing your suitcase to keeping your phone dry, there are so many uses for those handy zip baggies.
Many guests bring them from home, but if you forget there is always Publix.

I always bring detergent pods or sheets and dryer sheets for the washer. Don’t forget a stain stick too. They take up so little room in your suitcase and save quite a bit when doing laundry. I also save bags from purchases to transport clean or dirty clothes too.
