It seems that Disney Park Guests are known to ever-increasingly act out, becoming the subject of a video that is bound to go viral and leave fellow fans and general onlookers in a state of either humor, anger, blunt disappointment, or shock.

One of the latest incidents of such antics comes from the Disneyland Resort in Southern California, where one Guest was able to sneak a firecracker passed security and decided to set it off right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle in the middle of a busy crowd.

The video, originally posted to TikTok by @thenostalgiclatino, was shared on Twitter by @bluekittygirl, who plainly asked the same question many are probably wondering: “How did this girl get a whole firework through security?!”

This small firework was clearly intended to be used in a photo shoot of some kind, but this woman still thought it was a good idea to ignite pyrotechnics as people walked right past her.

We can see a Cast Member on the phone addressing the situation, and it was confirmed that the Guests were removed from the Theme Park after this video was shot.

Still, fans could not help but comment on their shock and surprise that she got away with this.

One person commented, “Sheesh! Yet my marker for autographs on my ears, was taken away at security lol glad to see the cast member was on it. Wild what some people think is okay!”

Another shared the video saying, “I don’t know what a worse fate would be, getting a lifetime ban from the Disney Parks or being blown to bits as a result of your own stupidity…whichever comes first, I guess?”

No one appears to have been injured by this incident. The general consensus among the fans was in support of the Cast Member’s decision to apprehend the pyro-happy Guests and kick them out of the Theme Park.

But at least one person chimed in a dissenting opinion, saying, “It’s not a firework guys it’s a sparkler. It’s in no way dangerous or risky, just something to chuckle at and move on. The calls for a lifetime ban are particularly ridiculous, like damn relax guys.”

Of course, one arguably cannot think of Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort without thinking of Disney Fireworks, with nightly performances found at Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT’s World Showcase Lagoon, the Chinese Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland. In fact, Disneyland Park just debuted its latest spectacular, “Wondrous Journeys,” in honor of the Walt Disney Company’s Disney100 Celebration. But these pyrotechnics are handled by trained professionals under strict conditions and safety protocols, not by a random Theme Park tourist.

It is unclear just what kind of trouble these Guests will face–whether it be trespass charges, temporary or permanent ban, or just expulsion from the Park for that day–but it should be noted that the Disneyland Resort lists “Fireworks or other similarly explosive and/or flammable objects, smoke machines or fog machines” in its list of prohibited items on the property.
