The Most Massive ‘Harry Potter’ Experience Yet Is Opening in 2027

The Harry Potter franchise is no stranger to immersive attractions, but its latest venture is set to be the largest of its kind. A new Harry Potter experience is in development, and when it opens, it will be the biggest indoor attraction the Wizarding World has ever seen.

For years, fans have been able to step inside the world of Harry Potter through Universal’s theme parks, which feature fully realized locations from the films. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, with lands in Orlando, Hollywood, Japan, and Beijing, has become a global sensation, allowing visitors to stroll through Hogsmeade, explore Hogwarts Castle, and even escape from Gringotts Bank.

Most recently, Universal Orlando Resort debuted a new Harry Potter-themed area at its newest theme park, Epic Universe, which introduced the Ministry of Magic and the streets of Paris from Fantastic Beasts.

A new indoor area is also slated for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island – which, coincidentally, will also welcome its own Disney park at some point.

Beyond traditional theme parks, Warner Bros. has been expanding its own take on the franchise’s attractions. The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter offers fans an inside look at the magic behind the films, showcasing authentic sets, props, and costumes from the beloved series. The concept proved so popular that a very similar experience was launched in Tokyo, Japan, spanning an impressive 30,000 square meters.

Brand-New ‘Harry Potter’ Attraction On the Way

Warner Bros. is taking things even further with a new Harry Potter studio tour, set to be the biggest yet. The attraction is being developed in partnership with Jinjiang International and will cover over 53,000 square meters, surpassing the Tokyo location in scale.

Though technically classified as a studio tour rather than a traditional theme park, the experience will provide fans with a detailed behind-the-scenes look at how the films were made, featuring iconic sets, interactive exhibits, and exclusive memorabilia from the Wizarding World.

While details are still emerging, this massive indoor attraction is expected to be part of a larger redevelopment of an existing theme park and is slated for completion in 2027, adding yet another must-visit destination for Harry Potter enthusiasts.

This expansion comes at a time when competition in the theme park industry is heating up. Since the opening of Shanghai Disneyland in 2016, the region has seen significant growth in entertainment offerings. Universal Studios Beijing has previously been rumored to possibly have its sights set on an expansion that could include Diagon Alley.

For fans, the growing number of Harry Potter destinations means even more opportunities to experience the magic firsthand. Whether through Universal’s immersive lands or Warner Bros.’ behind-the-scenes studio tours, the Wizarding World continues to enchant audiences around the world.
