When visiting Disneyland Resort, there are so many amazing experiences to have, not only at Disneyland Park, but also at Disney California Adventure Park. Disneyland Park is Walt Disney’s original theme park and is full of iconic attractions like the Enchanted Tiki Room, the Haunted Mansion, “it’s a small world”, the Matterhorn, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and so many more. Some of these attractions have been staples since the Park opened in 1955, and others have come to be Guest favorites.
With so many attractions and so many Guests visiting Disneyland every day, it makes sense that attractions need to have some downtime, so they can be refurbished. The more complicated the attractions, the more likely it is to need maintenance on a regular basis. One of the attractions that needs work the most often is Indiana Jones Adventure in Adventureland.
For more than three months, Indiana Jones Adventure has been closed as it undergoes an extensive refurbishment. The ride is one of the more complex rides at the theme park and has been open since 1995. Guests who visit Disneyland Resort know that the attraction is one of the most common ones to experience an extended closure. However, the Disneyland Resort website has been updated to share that Indiana Jones Adventure will finally reopen on March 16!
Indiana Jones Adventure is closed for refurbishment through March 16, 2023.
Before it closed, Guests were frequently complaining that the giant snake on the attraction wasn’t working (Disney Fanatic can confirm this is true), the giant boulder wasn’t rolling back and forth like it was supposed to, and that the ride was breaking down more than it was operational. Disney has not said what kind of refurbishments were being done, but social media users shared pictures of a giant snake being brought into the Park, so we can assume the snake will work again when the ride opens.
Even though the ride is now refurbished, it is possible that it could still experience breakdowns. If you are visiting Disneyland Park and want to ride the attraction, it is best to check the Disneyland Resort Mobile App to make sure the ride is up and operational.
