Last week, several celebrities voiced their concern and consideration of abandoning Twitter after Elon Musk completed his takeover of the social media platform. One of those celebrities was Disney Legend Josh Gad.
On October 28, the Frozen star said,
“Large exodus happening on this platform. Not sure if I stay or not. Leaning toward staying, but if today is a sign of things to come, not sure what the point is. Freedom of speech is great. Hate speech intended to inside harm, (with no consequences) ain’t waht I signed up for.”

What Gad is referring to is Musk’s new view he wants Twitter to have on Free Speech. Calling himself “a free speech absolutist,” Musk said that he wants Twitter to become welcoming to all but understands that there will be some checks and balances.
Earlier that day, the Tesla boss said,
“Twitter will be forming a content moderation council with widely diverse viewpoints. No major content decisions or accounts reinstatements will happen before that council convenes.”

The concern continues to be that the free use of racial slurs and other “hate speech” would become rampant on Twitter, and several accounts like former President Donald Trump’s will be reinstated.
Several fans took the time to reply to Gad’s tweet expressing the entire spectrum of responses.
One fan said, “Elon hurt your feelings?”
Another said, “There are no wrong answers. Do what you feel is best.”
And another said, “Please stay Josh! You are a beautiful light in a sometimes creepy, dark place.”

There is still a lot more to be done before speculations turn into reality, but it does appear that Gad will still be on Twitter in the immediate future.
