This newest announcement about a lucky Disney visitor might just take the cake, however!

A New Hampshire man named Justo Rivera recently turned in some old lottery tickets he had found in his basement, noticing that they were about to expire in two days.
When Rivera scanned them on the Massachusetts Lottery app, he was shocked to learn that he had won the $1 million lottery with one of the soon-to-be-expired tickets!

Justo had purchased the winning lottery ticket from Varnum Market, which is located on Varnum Avenue in Lowell, Massachusetts. Varnum Market has been given $10,000, but Rivera himself has taken the cashing-in option and been given $650,000 (since lottery winnings are taxed)!
In an interview with WWLP, the lucky winner expressed an interest in using some of his newfound funds to pay for FastPasses and a Disney World trip, which is a strong indication that he has not been to Disney World in a while and doesn’t know about the Genie+ service that has replaced said FastPasses.

Even though charitable stories about struggling families and their free Walt Disney World Resort vacations can be particularly heartwarming and meaningful, stories like this serendipitous tale of a man who inexplicably chose to scan an almost-expired lottery ticket are still exciting to hear!
This is not the first time that a lottery winner has chosen to splurge in Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort, and many Disney Fanatics would probably jump at the chance to spend some extra money while visiting their favorite vacation destinations!
