Recently, an incident at Downtown Disney in Southern California’s Disney Resort broke the facade of Disney magic when a man was arrested.
Occasionally, bad guest behavior at any Disney theme park makes headlines. There are times when this is something relatively lower stakes, such as a guest picking fights with other cast members or other guests. However, there are times when guests cross the lines drawn in concrete by the law.

Man Arrested in Downtown Disney
Last week, a Reddit user took to the platform to share a video of a man being forced to the ground after being arrested for stealing at Downtown Disney.
In the video, we see security staff in neon vests detaining the man. The man is initially forced to the ground and restrained before he’s lifted up and walked away.

While these sorts of events do happen at the Disney Parks, be that the Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort, something that fans and guests can forget is that Disney has the resources and security in place to effectively deal with these types of incidents.
This was something Disney Park guests noted in the comments as well. One wrote, “Notice the gentleman with the beard, wearing Disney merchandise? That’s a ‘shopper,’ right? They are employed and walk around the store, looking for suspicious people/behavior. That’s what I think, but I could be wrong.”
Another agreed, “I’ve always heard about Disney’s undercover security, but I’ve never noticed them when I’m there. They’re good. (Plus, it’s Disney. If I’m there, I’m distracted by all the shiny things.) But when I see videos like this, I’m all, ‘Ooh! There’s one! There’s another!'”

One guest even shared their own experience with Disney’s undercover security. “My little bro went “missing” for 5 minutes. All the undercovers and uniformed police and security came out of the woodwork and found him in minutes and quietly locked down the park. All without the genral public knowing.”
