It’s a great time to be at Walt Disney World Resort! We’re thrilled as we’re seeing more beloved experiences reopen after the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered several attractions, restaurants, and experiences. Now, we’re celebrating the return of one nostaligc Magic Kingdom experience.
It wasn’t too long ago we were sharing the news that Disney characters at Magic Kingdom, such as Merida, finally returned. We’re also preparing to welcome back Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger at The Crystal Palace Restaurant.
But, as you prepare your visit to Magic Kingdom Park, be sure to stop by the newly reopened Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street, U.S.A.! After almost 900 days of closure, the sweet Barber Shop is once again welcoming Guests.
Walt Disney World Cast and Community took to Facebook to celebrate the reopening on July 31, 2022, with, “Today marks a momentous milestone for Magic Kingdom as the final location of Main Street, U.S.A. reopens its doors. Welcome back, Harmony Barber Shop! Our Cast are elated to invite you all back to this iconic location!”
Harmony Barber Shop offers services, including a child’s haircut ($20), adult’s haircut ($21), and beard trim ($8). One experience they are most known for, however, is the “My First Haircut” ($28) which comes with a commemorative Mickey ear hat, a milestone certificate, and a keepsake lock of hair.
Disney describes the nostalgic barber shop with “Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow:”
“Look for the classic striped barber pole on Main Street, U.S.A. and head inside to experience a bygone era—and a spiffy haircut. The shop’s quaint interior creates an illusion of timelessness—as does the pleasant, unhurried banter of your stylist. This barber shop is a cut above!“

Along with Harmony Barber Shop’s return, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom is also preparing for its grand opening, which offers Princess and Prince pixie dust-filled makeovers to young children.
