After the Jonathan Majors hearing just concluded, another Marvel and Disney actor has been sued for alleged sexual assault.

It’s a moment of reckoning for many actors in Hollywood. The industry is currently facing multiple lawsuits, with many famous actors being called out for unacceptable behavior and assault, be that the likes of domestic assault or sexual assault. Unfortunately, these instances were all too prevalent for too many years in the film industry and are now coming to light.

News just came in that superstar Vin Diesel has been accused of sexual assault and is being sued for this by the alleged victim.

Vin Diesel Accused of Sexual Assault

Per the latest reports from Vanity Fair, the actor who made his Hollywood debut Multi-Facial after struggling to get roles has been sued by his former assistant after he reportedly “sexually battered her while she was working for him in the fall of 2010, during the filming of Fast Five.”

The lawsuit details a horrifying series of events if proven to be true. The plaintiff, Asta Jonasson, claims she was hired by Diesel’s production company, One Race, to work for the actor in Atlanta, where Fast Five was in production. She was a recent Los Angeles film school program graduate.

Jonasson was expected to organize parties, accompany Diesel to parties, and ensure that she was in close physical proximity to him in case photographs were taken of him with women if he attended events without his longtime girlfriend.

This is, unfortunately, where things go south. One night in September 2010, Jonasson was reportedly asked to wait in Diesel’s suite while he entertained hostesses he’d brought back from a club. After the other women left, Diesel allegedly “grabbed Ms. Jonasson’s wrists, one with each of his hands, and pulled her onto the bed.”

When she freed herself and ran and stood by the door, Diesel reportedly followed her and continued to grope her.

The suit continues, “Ms. Jonasson was afraid to more forcibly refuse her supervisor, knowing that getting him out of that room was both crucial to her personal safety and job security. But this hope died when Vin Diesel dropped to his knees, pushed Ms. Jonasson’s dress up toward her waist, and molested her body, running his hands over Ms. Jonasson’s upper legs, including her inner thighs.”

Vanity Fair confirms that Vin Diesel’s team has not yet responded officially to the suit or the allegations. What makes matters worse is that Jonasson was reportedly fired just hours after the incident by Samantha Vincent, Diesel’s sister, after less than two weeks of working the job.

The suit also claims the alleged assault isn’t the first instance of inappropriate behavior that happened during Jonasson’s time with One Race. She added she was finally able to speak out about the incident—despite signing an NDA—due to the Speak Out Act.

Born Mark Sinclair, Vin Diesel is best known for playing Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise and for voicing Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
