The British royal family (which includes some Disney fans with very expensive tastes) has just undergone a huge change as Charles III becomes king and his wife Camilla becomes the queen consort after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Part of the King Charles III coronation celebrations involved a star-studded concert that featured singers like Lionel Richie and Katy Perry as well as icons like Andrea Bocelli and Take That — but Mulan the Disney princess also showed up for the festivities!

Singer Nicole Scherzinger (who had already hinted in the Instagram post shown below that a “princess” might be making an appearance) sang a gorgeous version of Mulan’s ballad “Reflection” with the accompaniment of pianist Lang Lang!

Nicole Scherzinger is best known as a member of the Pussycat Dolls and as a host of the popular singing competition show called The Masked Singer, but she is also a classically-trained singer with operatic singing abilities.

Just take a look at her rendition of “Reflection,” shown below, if you don’t believe us!

Scherzinger has performed everything from “Phantom of the Opera” to “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” with incredible effect, so Broadway fans and musical theater fans will already know about her operatic prowess, but many Pussycat Dolls fans might be shocked by this beautiful performance from the coronation concert!

Some Disney music aficionados will insist that Lea Salonga (the singer who originally sang the song in the 1994 animated movie) is the only woman who should sing the song.

However, there are plenty of beautiful renditions of the song from other singers out there besides Disney Legend Lea Salonga, and Nicole Scherzinger has just joined their ranks.

Who would have expected this Disney princess to grace King Charles III and his subjects with her own royal presence during his royal coronation?
