“Muppets Haunted Mansion” Preshow is Coming to Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

When was the last time Muppet*Vision 3D received an update?! 1991 when it opened…All jokes aside, the preshow was updated for a little while to include characters and skits from the last Muppet movie, but with all of the excitement buzzing around the upcoming Muppets Haunted Mansion special, this is some big news!

Earlier today Disney released the official trailer for Muppets Haunted Mansion, and now we are excited to share some additional announcements fans can expect ahead of the special’s October 8 release date, including a new preshow for Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The pre-show will feature exclusive content from Muppets Haunted Mansion, and will debut at the attraction on October 1, 2021 (the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort), just one week ahead of the special’s Disney+ debut.

Muppets Haunted Mansion is set to feature classic Muppet characters experiencing the spooks of this classic Disney attraction, accompanied by a wide variety of celebrity cameos. Among the long list of celebrities are Darren Criss, Skai Jackson, Chrissy Metz, Pat Sajak, Geoff Keighley, Jeannie Mai, Justina Machado, Alfonso Ribeiro, Craig Robinson, Danny Trejo, Yvette Nicole Brown, John Stamos, and Sasheer Zamata.

Creative Director of Disney Imagineering Kim Irvine, whose mother Leota Tombs provided the role of Madam Leota in the Haunted Mansion attraction, is also set to be featured in the special as a maid in the mansion.

Muppets Haunted Mansion is part of the Hallowstream event on Disney+, which kicks off this fall with Halloween movies, specials, and more. The event includes original content like Muppets Haunted Mansion, plus classic family movies, spooky Disney Junior specials, Disney Channel Original Movies and more.
