Proposals at Disney Resorts and proposals within Disney Parks are certainly common, and they are always adorable scenes for other Guests to witness — but when the person proposing is also a famous fan of Splash Mountain, the proposal becomes all the more appropriate for a Disney location!
Brook Lopez, the Milwaukee Bucks champion known as “Splash Mountain”, is a famously-big Disney fan who stands at seven feet tall and helped his basketball team win the 2021 NBA Championship. In case you don’t believe that Brook Lopez is a huge Disney fanatic, consider this: the basketball player spent his allotted alone time with the 2021 NBA Championship trophy by taking said Larry O’Brien trophy onto Splash Mountain!

Brook Lopez is most likely feeling disappointed about his favorite Disney ride’s upcoming closure, but the basketball star probably has other things on his mind — because he just proposed to his longtime girlfriend Hailee Strickland in front of the Animal Kingdom location called Tree of Life (after a decadent and romantic dinner at the Tiffins Restaurant on Discovery Island)!
Apparently, Brook Lopez actually met Hailee Strickland at Walt Disney World Resort, so the Disney proposal is even more apropos!

After Brook Lopez proposed and Hailee Strickland enthusiastically said yes to his proposal, the engaged couple celebrated with engagement photos in front of the Tree of Life. Hailee added bridal Minnie Mouse ears (complete with a little veil) to her outfit for the occasion, and Brook Lopez wore an animal-themed shirt that was a good choice in the Floridian heat.

This couple has been together for 13 years, and now they are about to be together for a lifetime! Do you think that Brook Lopez and his fiance are going to celebrate with a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding?
