New Events Announced for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

With temperatures being in the 90s and there being no real signs of a break in the heatwave, it’s hard to think about celebrating something like Halloween. But in just a couple of weeks, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will kick off at Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom Park. For nearly 30 years, Guests have been visiting Disney World during the spookiest time of the year to trick-or-treat around the Magic Kingdom, meet rare characters, and celebrate with some of their favorite villains.

This year, the first of many Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween parties will take place on August 11 and there will be 26 subsequent parties. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary is becoming more popular than ever, so Disney has decided to treat Guests to more events happening during the parties! This year, Guests attending MNSSHP will be able to see pop-up parties with the Powerline pack and Max Goof, new villains in the Boo To You Halloween Parade, and a Pirate Band playing their favorite sea shanties in Adventureland.

NEW: Walt Disney World revealed new entertainment offerings for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park beginning Aug. 11 including a new spirited pirate band in Adventureland, Max Goof and Powerline “pop-up parties,” new villains in the parade, and more:

In addition to the new offerings, Disney will be bringing back a number of popular events, including the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, the Cadaver Dans, and Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular fireworks show. And of course, Guests can venture around the Park and collect more candy than they know what to do with along the trick-or-treat trails.

It is important to note that the Magic Kingdom will close early on the evenings when the Halloween party takes place. Guests with Park Hopper tickets may head to another Park to enjoy the evening. Guests without a ticket to the party and who can’t Park Hop are encouraged to head to Disney Springs or enjoy all that their Disney Resort hotel has to offer!

Each party will begin at 7 p.m. but Guests with valid party tickets can enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. A theme park reservation is not needed unless you are visiting the Park earlier in the day.
