A new docuseries called ‘Daughters of the Cult’ is coming to Disney+ and Hulu in the new year: here’s what it’s about.
There have been a lot of strange and eccentric shows that Disney (or any of its subsidiaries) has either greenlit or distributed on its platform and through its channels over the past year, and the Mouse House has seen a very scandalized audience with some of its upcoming films (think Pauline).
In a similar vein—though not exactly the same—a new docuseries about a Mormon fundamentalist cult is soon coming to Disney+ and Hulu for interested audiences.

What is Daughters of the Cult About?
Daughters of the Cult is a new docuseries from ABC News Studios about a violent, polygamist cult that was led by a fanatical prophet, Ervil LeBaron. LeBaron was dubbed the “Mormon Manson.”
LeBaron had thirteen wives and over fifty children. The docuseries features interviews with his daughters, Anna LeBaron and Celia LeBaron, who both escaped the cult—Anna ran away at thirteen and Celia escaped at nineteen—and the sisters share their experiences with the cult.
The series is a shocking and in-depth dive into a cult that was hidden in plain sight and operated in the South West and Mexico. It was a “splinter group of Mormon fundamentalist cult members” who perpetrated a deadly wave of violence and abuse for decades.
Ervil LeBaron was the mind behind the violence and is said to have ordered executions in cold blood.
The series debuts on January 4 on Hulu in the United States and debuts on Disney+ in Canada.
