In late 2022, two ABC News anchors found themselves making headlines instead of reporting on them. Amy Robach and TJ Holmes — co-anchors of GMA3: What You Need to Know — were discovered to be in a relationship. The problem? Everyone thought they were both married. The anchors confirmed their relationship, but said they had not started dating until they had ended their relationships with their partners.

When the relationship was first revealed, ABC tried to ignore it, since they were both Robach and Holmes were adults. However, as speculation continued that the two were dating while they were still married, ABC could no longer be silent. ABC President Kim Goodwin announced that Robach and Holmes had been suspended as an investigation was launched to see if the two violated any company policies.

Then, in January, ABC officially fired Holmes and Robach, replacing them with DeMarco Morgan and Eva Pilgrim. The move was reportedly praised by fellow Good Morning America anchors, who felt the two were tarnishing the brand. It was also alleged that Robach was planning on writing a tell-all book, and ABC paid her a large amount of money to bury it.
Ms. Robach has become a part of ABC News since 2012, and Holmes joined the team in 2014. Both became co-anchors of GMA3: What You Need to Know in 2020.
For months, Holmes and Robach did their best to stay out of the headlines. Then, in September, the two shared identical Instagram posts, announcing that they were running the New York City Marathon. This appeared to be the first confirmation in a while that the two were still together.
Now, we have even further confirmation that the controversial GMA couple is still going strong.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amy Holmes and TJ Robach have just signed a deal with iHeartMedia and will be creating a new podcast.
The podcast, titled Amy & T.J., will see the two in conversation about current events, pop culture and more. In addition to hosting and executive producing the podcast, Robach and Holmes will also work on a full slate of upcoming programming at iHeartPodcasts.
This is their first big project since leaving the company, and iHeartMedia says the podcast will be “the first time Robach and Holmes speak publicly since their own names became a part of the headlines,” while adding, “Nothing is off limits.”
Amy & TJ is set to premiere on December 5. iHeartradio streams its podcasts from its website, as well as on music streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify.
Before entering into a relationship with Holmes, Amy Robach was married to Melrose Place actor Andrew Shue. The two were married in 2010. She and Shue did not have any children together, but Robach does share two children — Ava and Analise — with her first husband, Tim McIntosh. Robach and Shue’s divorce was finalized in March 2023.
Like Amy Robach, TJ Holmes has also been married twice. He divorced his first wife in 2007 and then married his second wife, Marilee Fiebig, in 2010. They share one daughter together, Sabine. According to reports, Holmes and Fiebig split up after his relationship with Robach became public. The two finalized their divorce in October 2023. Holmes also has two other children from previous relationships — a daughter named Brianna and a son named Jaiden.

J, I too think ABC was unfair. These are two grown people who have the right to a relationship. If their marriages didn’t work out then so be it.
I’m split. IF it was in their contract as some kind of clause, they should have said something to the higher ups. But I also believe that they are grown people and you can’t tell them who they can and can not go out with. ABC should have handled it different.
