Walt Disney Guests looking to take a vacation or spend time at Disneyland Paris this summer may want to rethink their plans. The escalating Cast Member strike has only continued to grow, causing absolute chaos and disruption in the Parks. The tension is volatile, with Cast Members having flooded Main Street, U.S.A., and even blocking access to Sleeping Beauty Castle. For a potential visitor to Disneyland Paris, now is an extremely uncertain time. One Guest took it upon themselves to give an eyewitness account of their experience at the theme park. Their advice is to cancel any plans to visit Disneyland Paris while the strike continues, as it’s not currently worth the money. Read on to dive into the firsthand accounts of the Disney strike experience in the theme park at the moment and why this Guest has come to their suggestion.
The Current Disney Strike Experience for Guests
This particular Disneyland Paris Guest says that paying full price to visit the Park at the moment is ill-advised as most offerings and popular attractions have slowly shut down entirely over the course of their visit.
The parkgoer starts off their report on Reddit by saying most of the strikes are happening in the Main Street, U.S.A. area of Disneyland Park. Crowds are more plentiful in the Walt Disney Studios Park, but only minor disruptions and long queue times started occurring at first.
The account quickly derails from there. The Guest details shops being closed and many shows getting canceled. Attraction queues have continued to get longer, and even most scheduled character appearances have stopped. This would be a nightmare situation for Walt Disney World and Magic Kingdom, but it is a reality for Disneyland Paris.
By the end of the night, almost every offering had been canceled. Fireworks, parades, and even D-Light never happened. The biggest issue, however, seemed to stem from the presence of the external security hired to keep the Park in check.
Today – Worst experience we've ever had at Disneyland Paris.
You could blame the strikes – @disneyland warned us so late that we couldn't cancel our days off for.
Or the 9 times my daughter cried because she still hadn't seen a Princess.

Should You Visit Disneyland Paris During the Cast Member Strike?
The blunt advice is that it’s not worth going to Disneyland Paris as of now. The Guest did suggest going to Park to support the Cast Members if you have an Annual Pass. However, wait for a less volatile situation if the option is available.
Cast Members have been striking since May and have had a presence in the theme park on most days. They are requesting a $215 monthly raise on top of service bonuses and better Sunday pay rates.
An update on the ongoing Cast Member strike at Disneyland Paris:
– No strike planned today.
– No strikes planned Friday to Monday (included) as to not disrupt a Make a Wish event this weekend.
– Final decisions haven’t been made for tomorrow Thursday and from Tuesday next week. pic.twitter.com/J6xI0mAx9p— DLP Report (@DLPReport) June 7, 2023
Keep in mind that this is one experience among many others. Some visitors have an entirely different testimony on how the strikes are disrupting operations. Certain days see little to no out-of-the-ordinary activity. However, this is the gamble you are taking right now.
