During the 2022 First Quarter Investment Call, CEO of the Walt Disney Company Bob Chapek, confirmed that the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series will debut on May 25, 2022.
Earlier this week, it appeared that a Disney+ manager leaked the release in May 2022, but the tweet announcement was immediately deleted. Much speculation was surrounded, but now we have the official confirmation.

According to Disney+, “The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith when Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.”
The show is also expected to see the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, as well as a lightsaber rematch between him and Ewan McGregor‘s portrayal of the title character. Temmuera Morrison’s Commander Cody, as well as Darth Vader’s Inquisitors, are also expected to make their live-action return and introduction respectively.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will be joining the growing Star Wars Anthology on Disney+ from the core nine movies to the animated shows Clone Wars and Rebels, as well as the live-action, shows Star Wars: The Mandalorian, and The Book of Boba Fett. Star Wars: Andor is also confirmed for Disney+ arrival in 2022 as well.

At this time, it should be expected that Obi-Wan Kenobi will be released week by week, similar to its predecessors, however, no confirmation has been given.
