There’s One Surprising Way You Might Meet Chris Evans

One fan recently shared an interaction with her dentist that had her completely surprised, and it had to do with the one and only Captain America actor, Chris Evans.

Fans all over the world love the chance to meet their favorite celebrities and actors. Sometimes, the celebrity world seems so far removed from our own that we forget that celebrities are people with families and lives away from the limelight as well. Recently, one fan was reminded of this in a hilarious interaction with her dentist.

Chris Evans (Christopher Robert Evans) has been noted as a fan favorite in his portrayal of Captain America. He first began gaining attention for his roles as the Marvel Comics character, the Human Torch, in Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). He is also known for his performances in  Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), and Snowpiercer (2013). The American actor reached wider audiences and gained a lot of acclaim and recognition when he played Captain America in various Marvel Cinematic Universe films, from Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) to Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

Evans was born in 1981 in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Sudbury, a nearby town. His mother is an artistic director at the Concord Youth Theater, and most relevant to this story, his father, Dr. Robert Evans, is a practicing dentist.

A Fan Realizes Their Dentist is Captain America, i.e., Chris Evans’s Father

Recently, a post has been making the rounds online wherein a fan had a hilarious interaction with their dentist; on being asked how their weekend went, they explained that they watched the Captain America movie the previous night and enjoyed the film. Their dentist responded, “Oh, my son is in that movie.”

The fan at first thought their dentist was joking but decided to look it up and realized they were being treated by Dr. Robert Evans himself.

Fans in the comments were incredibly amused by the instance, but some also shared a close connection with Dr. Evans. One explained, “He’s also my father-in-law’s dentist. When my husband told me, I thought he was kidding… but he wasn’t!”

The post has received over 7000 likes online and certainly made multiple fans’ days!

While there have been no reports of Chris Evans frequenting his father’s office, perhaps those who go to Dr. Robert Evans for their dentistry needs have a higher chance of meeting the famous actor for a photo op.

We can all agree that of all the places we might imagine running into Chris Evans, a dentist’s office isn’t one of them.
