Oogie Boogie Is Taking Over Disneyland for 33 Nights

Disneyland’s Halloween season is always a major draw—but this year, it’s about to get even wilder. Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party is coming back in 2026, and it’s bringing with it a record-breaking number of event nights: 33 total parties, stretched from mid-August all the way to Halloween night.

That’s right—this frightfully fun celebration starts Tuesday, August 18, and wraps up with a finale on Saturday, October 31. It’s held on select nights inside Disney California Adventure and requires its own ticket, which gives guests access to the park during limited evening hours, exclusive entertainment, and special Halloween extras that you won’t find during the day.

Why do fans love it so much? For one, the atmosphere is unbeatable. The park transforms into a spooky-but-not-too-scary playground, with Halloween lighting, eerie soundtracks, and characters you normally wouldn’t see wandering around—like Oogie Boogie himself. There’s also Villains Grove, a hauntingly beautiful walkthrough trail that’s equal parts creepy and artistic.

But the real MVP of the night? The treat trails. Not only do guests get their hands on sweet snacks, but they also interact with Disney villains stationed along the paths. Think candy mixed with live character performances. It’s a unique blend of stage show and trick-or-treating that guests of all ages eat up—literally.

Though prices and sale dates haven’t been announced yet, the 2025 event ranged from $139 to $199, depending on the day. Halloween week tickets usually go first (and fast), so if you’ve got your eye on October dates, start planning now. If Disney sticks with its pattern, tickets will likely go on sale in early summer, possibly in June.

The Halloween fun doesn’t stop with Oogie Boogie Bash. Disneyland Resort’s full Halloween Time season kicks off August 21, bringing with it seasonal food, merchandise, and ride overlays like Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. Plaza de la Familia, the celebration inspired by Coco, also returns and will run through November 2, offering live music, crafts, and cultural tributes to Día de los Muertos.

With more party nights than ever, Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 is shaping up to be the most chilling, thrilling Disney event of the year. Just make sure you grab those tickets before they vanish.
