New Villains Teased for Disney Halloween Event

Disneyland Resort in California has just dropped a major reveal for this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween celebration. The theme park has given hints about two new villains joining the event’s Treat Trails in 2023. While Disney has yet to provide an official confirmation, a recently released teaser video has sent fans into a frenzy of speculation.

Oogie Boogie Bash Villains

The Oogie Boogie Bash, a separately ticketed event hosted at Disney California Adventure Park, is one of the year’s most anticipated offerings. It features unique entertainment, an increased appearance of characters, rethemed rides, and food offerings. However, it’s the Treat Trails that truly steal the show. These immersive experiences allow guests to navigate the park on a candy-filled adventure while bumping into iconic Disney villains. In 2023, an already impressive roster of villains includes:

Disneyland Teases New Villains

The event’s newest buzz centers on the mysterious addition of two more villains to this wickedly delightful lineup. Disney’s teaser video offers brief glimpses, which fans immediately recognize. The footage notably features what appears to be the infamous “Dip” from the classic film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, a concoction feared by toons throughout the movie.

Intriguingly, the teaser also briefly illuminates scenes of Big Hero 6‘s city at night. Given the impending launch of the San Fransokyo Square area of California Adventure at the end of August, this makes sense. While Disney has remained tight-lipped about these additions, fans almost certainly know who’s joining the event.

Judge Doom and Yokai Join Oogie Boogie Bash

Many believe that one of the new villains could be none other than Judge Doom, the sinister antagonist of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. His dark presence and obsession with erasing toons would make him a perfect fit for the spooky atmosphere of the Oogie Boogie Bash.

Additionally, the second new villain has to be Yokai, Professor Callaghan’s masked villain identity from Disney’s Big Hero 6. The choice would be fitting, as his imposing presence and connection to the latest park offering would work well with the event.

While Disney has yet to confirm the identities of these new villains, people seem to approve of these potential additions to the Oogie Boogie Bash’s Treat Trails. Guess we will just have to wait and see this Halloween season!
