6. Reinventing food

It appears they’ve succeeded at the Edison in their quest at reinventing the goodness of quality food and the enjoyment in eating it up. Following an industrial gothic-style theme, the Edison is open daily for lunch and dinner as well as late-night eating. Here you will discover an array of novel spins on the classics you already love along with completely new, innovative concepts you may never have even heard about. From starters like their famous DB’ Clothesline Candied Bacon all the way down to the specialty Lollipop Tree dessert for two, the creative options here are seemingly endless. And while there are plenty of main entrée favorites featured for both lunch and dinner, a few of the classics that stand out in popularity are the Edison Burger, Organic Tomato Soup and Gooey Grilled Cheese, and shareable Electri-Fries, which are comprised of L. Burbank hand-cut potatoes, Edison Special Sauce, bacon, crumbled blue cheese, and chopped green onion. Some of the restaurant’s ingenious takes for featured sides include the Quadruplex Potato—a baked potato with shredded cheddar, sour cream, chopped bacon, and scallops, Menlo Park Mac & Cheese—featuring a signature blend of fontina, muenster, cheddar, and alpine Swiss with cavatappi pasta topped with panko crumbs, and plenty of others. And don't forget about all those electrifying libations the Edison is also known for, ranging from bottles, drafts, wines by the glass, and a multitude of both classic and signature cocktails.

7. A boatload of delicious possibilities

The BOATHOUSE, one of Orlando’s elite upscale dining spots, has plenty to offer. Despite being a lavish choice for premium surf and turf steakhouse favorites, they open just in time for lunch each day, boasting an even deeper sea of possibilities for your palate to plunge into. And even though the BOATHOUSE is technically a signature dining spot, you’ll notice that plenty of children love it too! That’s primarily in part to all the interactive onsite extras, including family-friendly on-the-water tours via unique vintage Amphicars and Italian water taxis and other happy happenings. And let’s not forget the scrumptious food, which can stand on its own without any fanfare. Two items on the menu that come highly recommended by diners for both lunch and dinner include Firecracker Shrimp, served with Sriracha mayo, serrano chilis, and sweet peppers and Shrimp & Andouille Mac & Cheese, which comes as bay shrimp, smoked sausage, and pasta shells in spicy cheddar-beer sauce. And of course, there are plenty of other claims to fame on the menu as well, from filet mignons, porterhouse, and ribeye amongst the myriad steak possibilities, to mouthwatering, fresh-from-the-water, seafood options, and even a wonderful array of burgers and sandwiches.

If you’re a fan of Wolfgang Puck then Disney Springs has plenty to offer. The recent opening of the new Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill last autumn has been keeping lunch and dinner crowds happy, while the ever-faithful favorite quick service stop Wolfgang Puck Express remains a perfect solution for those who want quality picks that still fit a high standard while on the go. Another favorite is their Corn Flake French Toast with seasonal fruit and maple syrup. The Breakfast Pizza is another hot item, concocted with scrambled eggs, bacon, mozzarella, cheddar, and caramelized onions.
