Our Favorite Shopping Experiences At Disney World Resort Hotels

4. Vittles at various Vacation Club venues

While most people know about the food delivery services available at most Walt Disney World Resorts, fewer are familiar with the grocery delivery services you may opt for—especially when staying at a Disney Vacation Club designation. Because many DVC accommodations are spacious, and those staying there tend to do quite a bit of onsite cooking, grocery delivery services are most convenient. In fact, you even have the option to fill out an order form denoting the various essentials you will need for your stay even before you arrive. But also note that while selections are admittedly limited, the resort stores at Disney Vacation Club properties do tend to house various sundries and other grocery selections that span a greater variety than the typical sundries at other in-store gift shops. At Saratoga Springs you’ll find a bountiful selection of goods and essentials at the Artist’s Palette. At Old Key West, there’s Conch Flats General Store. Both venues also follow suit with offering up exceptional onsite shopping to guests as well and ware in a vast array of themed merchandise, souvenirs, and more.

3. Our Riviera Resort recommendation

With the grand opening of one of Walt Disney World’s newest resorts also comes the opening of one of our newest favorite boutiques to check out, no less named “La Boutique.” Here you’ll find a fresh novel perspective on the usual resort shopping experience, with classy touches to Disney traditions in apparel to plenty of other goods and products, including plush, games, imported perfumes, and even artwork, to name a few. They also stock all the usual necessities you could possibly want during your stay, but all the same there is an overpowering sense of elegance and refinement not to be missed when you visit this unique boutique.

2. Wonders at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin

While these two resorts technically aren’t Walt Disney World Resort properties, their central location to all the action makes them unofficial yet honorary Disney designations nevertheless. And therefore, vacationers to Walt Disney World find plenty to enjoy about the resorts’ many redeeming qualities, from opting to stay onsite here to visiting for an impeccable mealtime. Shopping at the resort-specific stores onsite is also a popular pick, and between the two hotels, you’ll find a pleasing array of options to pursue. In keeping with all things Disney your best bet is heading for Disney Cabanas at the Swan Resort or what’s notably referred to as the “Disney Gift Shop” at the Dolphin.

But one favorite boutique located onsite at the Dolphin Resort is Accents. Here you’ll find a variety of upscale apparel and accessory items from renowned designers, including Vera Wang, Quicksilver, and many others. Another elite standing featured here, especially for those into skin and hair care products is the Mandara Spa. Also located onsite at the Dolphin, this full-service spa doubles as an onsite shop where you can find professional quality spa products from world famous European lines, including Steiner, Elemis, Ionithermie, and even La Therapie. On a more casual note, for any quick must-need essentials for beach or poolside fun, check out the Cabana Beach Hut—located poolside between the Dolphin lap pool and Grotto Pool.

1. An extensive inventory of everything else

Even if you’re not staying at a Deluxe Resort that boasts various high-end merchants right on site, remember that each and every Walt Disney World Resort property does feature at least one gift shop where you can find great souvenirs, gifts, and any last-minute essentials throughout your stay. At Value Resorts these shops include: Donald’s Double Feature, at All-Star Movies; Maestro Mickey, at All-Star Music; Sport Goofy Gifts and Sundries, at All-Star Sports; the Ink & Paint Shop, at Art of Animation, and Everything POP Shopping & Dining, at Pop Century.

At Moderate Resorts you can check out Calypso Trading Post, at Caribbean Beach; Panchito’s Gifts and Sundries, at Coronado Springs, and both Fulton’s General Store at Port Orleans (Riverside), and Jackson Square Gifts & Desires at Port Orleans (French Quarter). At Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts you’ll find The Market at Ale & Compass (Yacht Club) and Beach Club Marketplace (Beach Club). The Wilderness Lodge proudly sports their Wilderness Lodge Mercantile, and the Fort Wilderness Campsites offer two great shopping experiences—Meadow Trading Post and Settlement Trading Post.

When you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel you can experience wonderful onsite shopping opportunities in addition to all the other magical experiences included in your accommodation package. And as we’ve demonstrated, the options are varying, from casual retail to more high-end excursions, and everything in between. While we’ve showcased our top favorite shopping experiences at Disney Resorts alone, remember that great shopping within Disney World can be found at many other venues as well, including the various parks and within nearby Disney Springs—the ultimate shopping destination. And keep in mind that you can always go to www.shopdisney.com to order all your favorite resort-specific and park-specific merchandise and other must-have goods.
